Music & Sound Design
Music & Sound Design
From bedroom mumble folk in my teens to angular post-punk in my twenties to studio-as-an-instrument experimentation in my thirties, making and recording music has been a constant in my life. These days, I focus on composition and sound design as a tool for storytelling, whether in podcasts, films or other media.
Sound Design
Chronicle of Darkness
This fun gonzo feature made for All The Best about my attempts to hack my brain to learn Japanese, contains original compositions, field recordings from Japan, and abstract sonifications to go with its bleeps and bloops.
Intensive Care
An original score and subtle sound design helped to tell the incredible story of Vivi Ebert, a young Danish girl suffering from polio in the 1950s, and the experimental, unconventional methods used to keep her alive.
#SeAcabó
This episode of Full Story, which I co-produced and sound designed, recaps the downfall of Luis Rubiales, the former Spanish Football Federation president, after an unwanted kiss during the World Cup winning ceremony.
A Day at the Beach
Summer Series episodes were always the most enjoyable to sound design at Full Story, and this one was a particularly fun challenge: scoring five separate stories about that most quintessential of experiences, the day at the beach.
Buried Lives
I was proud to have sound designed and co-produced this story about the investigation into clandestine burials at Aboriginal children’s homes during the Stolen Generations era.
